Hattiesburg IHOP helps raise money for children

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The IHOP on Hardy street participated in a national event in which all IHOPS offer guests a free stack of pancakes in exchange for a donation.

IHOP® Restaurants is celebrating its 12th annual National Pancake Day® to raise $3.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals programs in the communities they serve.

Miss Mississippi Contestant Arrielle Dale partners with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to raise money.

Dale said, "I have had at least three students from the last three months, I work at a local dance studio here in Hattiesburg, that had been admitted to Batson's Children Hospital."

"I understand their pain and there struggle, they have been going through with their illness and their disease that they have. So just being able to raise funds just through pancakes is a blessing for them" said Dale.

Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP Restaurants has raised $24 million to support charities in the local communities in which they operate.
