Jones County SWAT team halts criminal activity, more future arrests likely
JONES COUNTY, Miss. - The Jones County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team halted criminal activity Thursday morning.
The SWAT team executed a search warrant at the 200 block of Triangle Drive after an ongoing under cover investigation.
The Department said, "This residence is known for drug and criminal activity, as well as being frequented by known members of the Aryan Brotherhood."
Three people were found at the residence and taken into custody:
[if !supportLists]· [endif]Stevie Hurtt, 59, charged with Possession of Methamphetamine While in Possession of a Firearm.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]Michael Hurtt, 38, charged with Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]Joshua McNair, 30, charged with Possession of Marijuana.
According to the Department, "Items recovered with the search warrant include methamphetamine in both solid and liquid forms, marijuana, illegally obtained injectable prescription medication in large quantities, scales, packaging supplies and other drug paraphernalia, several firearms, items stolen from a commercial business and materials related to the Aryan Brotherhood Criminal Organization."
"Also confiscated in the search were financial ledgers associated with drug transactions that had taken place at that location" said the Department.
Additional arrests related to this investigation are expected with in the coming weeks.
