Over 600 students celebrate graduation at JCJC

JONES COUNTY, MS. - A lot of families and friends are excited for student at Jones County Junior College (JCJC).

Officials said 652 students participated in Fridays Spring Graduation ceremony.

The ceremony's Keynote Speaker is Sid Walter. Walter is an award winning journalist and author.

Walter is also the current Mississippi State Chief Communications Officer and Director of Public Affairs. JCJC President and student said they are looking forward to the future.

“Success you know, to know this, they are ready, they are prepared, if they are willing to work and stay with it. They will have the success and everything that they want in life" said Jesse Smith.

One future Licensed Vocation Nurse said, "I am looking forward to being in the LPN program and finishing out strong.”

The school said 748 students applied for Spring Graduation.
