Bud Kirkpatrick, Charlie Holt honored at Sales and Marketing Professionals luncheon

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Sales and Marketing Professionals had its annual election of new officer’s luncheon Tuesday at the Lake Terrace Convention Center.

South Mississippi veteran media professionals, Bud Kirkpatrick and Charlie Holt were honored at the luncheon.

Southern Miss head football coach, Jay Hopson was there as the guest speaker.

Hopson said "It's great to see the business leaders and the marketing leaders in our community. These guys spend countless hours sacrificing for our community."

"It's very warming I tell you. I remember organizing this and being a part of it back in 1959. It's been a long road we have all traveled, but it's been a great adventure," said Holt.

"This is a wonderful organization. It's a very effective professional organization and I'm just blessed to be a part of it and to receive this award and have an award named in my honor. It's just a wonderful thing to be recognized and honored in that way," said Kirkpatrick.

The next meeting will be June 13 at the Lake Terrace Convention Center.
