Mayor Johnny Magee signs March for Jesus proclamation

LAUREL, Miss. - Mayor Johnny Magee signed a March for Jesus proclamation Thursday morning.

This is the first time in over a decade that the March for Jesus will be happening.

Coordinator, Retha Clements said, “It’s exciting. We’re going to take down the denominational walls. We’re going to take down everything that makes us different. We’re going to walk down the street. We’re going to sing songs to Jesus. And we’re going to fellowship. It’s important for Jones County, but it’s also important for all of the church. It’s bringing the church back together as one, as unity for the body that Jesus is the head of the church.”

The march is set for May 20 and will start at Daphne Park.
