Councilwoman Dryden says the city needs to clarify on voter precinct

HATTIESBURG, MS. - City Councilwoman Mary Dryden raised concerns about voter precincts Monday.

Dryden said the city needs to clarify voter precincts for residents during different elections.

"For those that have it changed it is very confusing" said Dryden.

"Last November they have to vote in one place, now for this election they have to vote in a new place" Dryden added.

Dryden said the city should have mailed information prior to the primary election. "To let everyone know where they are supposed to vote and that did not happen" she said.

"My frustration is it is a little late, that should have happened...you saw how low the voter turn out was."

According to Dryden the city said they will send out voter information this week.
