McAlister's Deli opens in Petal

PETAL, MS. - McAlister's Deli officially opened in Petal Monday off Evelyn Gandy Parkway. McAlister’s is home to handcrafted sandwiches, always-fresh salads, giant stuffed spuds, and McAlister’s Famous Sweet Tea.

The Petal location is owned by a franchise group, Kingdom Foods.

Kingdom Foods owns and operates one additional McAlister's Deli in Mississippi.

According to the Petal General Manager, Jessica Sanders said it has 60 plus workers. Sanders said they are excited to expand and be part of the Petal community.

She said, "I think we went out and hired, the best people that interviewed with us and I know that they are going to shine and give wonderful guest service with their smiles and their food"

She added, "and they are going to draw people in and make them regulars very quickly.”

Kingdom Foods said they plan to continue opening franchises across Mississippi.
