Scott Berry believes his team is ready for the C-USA Tournament
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team is having a very great season to say the least.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of (44-12) and a (25-5) record in conference play.
If you think that’s nice, the Golden Eagles have not lost a game since April 23, and have enjoyed a 14-game winning streak ever since.
The team is getting ready to play in the conference tournament Wednesday against UTSA where they are hoping to capture another conference championship for the second year in a row.
Head coach, Scott Berry said, “This team is just so mature in how they handle their business. And they understand that the most important game on the schedule is the one that we’re fixing to play. The tournament championship isn’t until Sunday, but there’s no way you can get there unless you play Wednesday, Thursday, and the rest of the games. They’ve been really good about taking it as a one game at a time approach. And for that, I think that’s a big reason why we’ve been so successful.”
The game will begin at 4 p.m.
