HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg Zoo is pleased to announce Friday Night Wild, a new extended hour series every Friday in June and July until 8 p.m., starting this Friday, June 2.
“We are thrilled to offer extra hours to our guests during the summer. The Zoo has an entirely different atmosphere in the evening hours, and we want to give everyone the opportunity to experience it. Most operations will be just as they are during the day, but you never know what surprises we may have in store for Friday Night Wild,” Demetric Kelly, business operations coordinator for the Hattiesburg Zoo, said.
Activities included in regular admission are animal encounters, field games, and the splash pad. The High Ropes Adventure Course will be offered at a discounted rate from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. every Friday with the Sky Trail available for $10 per person and the Sky Tykes for $5 per person. Train and carousel are an additional $2 each per person, per ride.
In addition to the Safari Grill’s established food and drink selections, a special Glow Cone will be available for purchase starting at $5.
“The Zoo is a great summer activity while school is out, and a unique family adventure in the evening as the temperature cools off a bit. The Ropes Course is especially fun at night along with our nocturnal animals who are just getting out of bed,” Rick Taylor, executive director for the Hattiesburg Tourism and Convention Commissions, said.
Annual passes are applicable. General admission tickets can be purchased at the gate for $5 per person and children under two are free.
