Laurel man points gun at an officer, arrested on multiple charges

LAUREL, Miss. - One Laurel man has been arrested on multiple charges.

Laurel Police said Jonathan Jones, 26, shot a person on May 28 on Pearl River Drive.

The victim of that incident suffered minor injuries.

Jones also was involved in incident with a JCSO Corrections Officer on June 17 on South 16th Avenue, and pointed a gun at the officer.

No injuries were reported.

Jones is facing an aggravated domestic assault charge, as well as a simple assault on an officer.
