Laurel man assaults person, steals vodka

LAUREL, Miss. - One Laurel man has been arrested for assault.

Laurel Police said Phillip Breland, 41, severely beat up a person at Blue's Quick Stop Thursday, and stole a bottle of vodka.

The victim was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Breland faces aggravated assault and robbery charges.
