Former Howard Industries employee charged with false report of a bomb
LAUREL, MS. - A Howard Industries employee's bond is set after being charged with one count of false report of a bomb according to authorities.
Sedric Bass, 22, was arrested at Howard Industries Wednesday.
Captain Tommy Cox with the Laurel Police Department said, "Officers responded to Howard Industries on July 9 after an unknown suspect at that time had phone in a threat to the location."
Cox said through further investigation authorities were able to tie the call back to Bass. "The charge carries a sentence of up to a $10,000 fine and 10 years in prison" said Cox.
His bond was set at $5,000.
