HPD searches for suspect who's responsible for crashing into Hattiesburg High School

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg Police are searching for a person who crashed their vehicle and damaged Hattiesburg High School's "Academy Building" Sunday.

Hattiesburg Police said the accident happened early in the evening, and the suspect fled the scene. There were no injuries reported, but Hattiesburg High School has work to do in order to fix the damages.

Hattiesburg High Principal, Eric Boney said, "The maintenance crew came out yesterday. They were on top of it right away and made it possible for us to have classes as normal in the "Academy" today. So, we're having classes as usual. None of the classes were affected."
