Jones Co. escaped inmate back behind bars

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - An escaped Jones County inmate is back behind bars.

After three days of searching the Laurel Police and Jones County Sheriff's Department arrested 20-year-old Travis Allen. Allen waked off a work detail last Thursday morning on Highway 533.

He escaped after asking to relieve himself in a wooded area nearby his work location. Allen is charged with felony escape and his bond is $10,000.
