Southern Miss student charged with sexual battery

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A Southern Miss student from Gulfport was arrested Friday for an incident that happened in McCarty Hall.

USM Police said Eric Camp, 18, was arrested that evening and charged with one count of sexual battery.

Southern Miss wants to remind its students that the Title IX office can also be a source of assistance with sexual misconduct or assault incidents, in addition to campus police.

His bond is set at $10,000.
