William Carey students arrive to campus

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Various William Carey students moved back on campus Thursday.

Lots and lots of freshmen were moving into their new dorms.

Orientation activities began this week, and students are excited.

Music therapy major, Anna Swartzel said, "I'm really excited. I'm ready for everyone to be here, meet new friends, just kind of get used to everyone being on campus."

Nursing major, Cody Counts said, "It's a Christian college, and I wanted to grow my faith. Also, it's a smaller college, because I really didn't like the big college environment."

Music therapy major, Gabrielle Barton said, "The worship pastor at my church kept on telling me about the great music therapy program here. And I was like 'oh it's too far away.' But then as soon as I visited, I knew it was perfect. Everybody I met so far is very kind, very welcoming. They're not afraid to talk to you and say hi. I met a lot of good friends already."

Classes begin Monday for William Carey students.
