Collins man arrested for killing his girlfriend

COLLINS, Miss. - A woman was murdered Tuesday night in Covington County.

Undersheriff, Layne McLaurin said Granville Spencer Jr., 82, shot and killed his long-time girlfriend, Chong Sun Wells, 66, at his home on 245 Highway 84 West in Collins.

Deputies arrived on scene and found the victim dead under the carport of the home. Deputies arrested Spencer, and he is charged with murder.

The victim's body has been sent to the state crime lab in Jackson for an autopsy.

Spencer's bond is set at $100,000.
