JCJC is ready for its 5K and 1-mile Fun Run

ELLISVILLE, Miss. - Folks in the Pine Belt will be getting up early Saturday morning to exercise at Jones County Junior College (JCJC).

JCJC is having its 11th annual Hall of Fame 5K and 1-mile Fun Run. Racers will start at the tennis courts and make their way around the campus and downtown Ellisville.

JCJC encourages people to participate if they are interested.

JCJC Athletic Director, Katie Herrington said, "It's a good community event. But the proceeds from the 5K race will go to our Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) here in Jones County. So it's not only a good race, good for your health, but also a very good fundraiser for FCA."

If you are interested in participating, you can register Saturday at 7 a.m.

-Tickets for the 5K are $25

-Tickets for the Fun Run are $10

-Awards will be given out to the winners

The race begins at 8 a.m.
