Laurel host MAHRO retreat to discuss training

LAUREL, Miss. - The Mississippi Association of Housing and Redevelopment officials conducted their annual executive director's retreat in Laurel Thursday.

It's a time for team leaders from 50 different locations across the state to discuss issues and special training.

" We’re managed by HUD, housing of urban development and right now under the transition of the new administration, there is a lot of new regulation and change going on so we’re learning about that. Our partners from our state HUD office are here to provide training and updates on the different changes that are going on right now.” said Laurel Housing Authority Executive Director, Ailrick Young.

The Laurel Board of Commissioners look forward to hosting another retreat in the near future.
