Blood Drive In Hattiesburg To Help The Community And Vegas Victims.

Following the tragic event in Las Vegas, everyone around the country wants to find a way to lend a helping hand. Your local United Blood Services in Hattiesburg wants more people to donate blood to help members of the community, and those affected.

"So United Blood Services is our local provider here in the Pine Belt and is also the provider there in the Las Vegas area," Donor Recruitment Supervisor, Katie Martin said. "And our sister center has been able to meet those immediate patient needs with the blood that was on the shelves."

Martin went on to mention, that citizens need to continue to give blood so in the times of tragedy, blood will be available to those in need.

"Blood has to be ready and available for patients," Martin said. "So the way you can help here in the Pine Belt is to come in over the next coming days and weeks, schedule an appointment to come in and donate."
