Oktoberfest continues despite TS Nate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - St. John Lutheran Church will host Oktoberfest 2017 Saturday.

Church members said despite the weekend weather, the festival will continue as planned.

"This is for missions, its world missions and local missions. We send about 12 thousand dollars to local and worldwide missions," said church member, Warner Boortz.

This year the church will raffle off a hand sewn quilt and sale traditional German pastries. Boortz said for those attending the festival to purchase food, arrive early.
