2 men behind bars after foot chase in Laurel

LAUREL, Miss. - Two men are now in custody after a short foot chase in Laurel. Authorities arrested 20-year-old, Alex Crews, and 38-years-old, James Clark Monday afternoon after a routine traffic stop.

The Police attempted to pull over the two suspects near Central Avenue and North Pine Street. Clark and Crews sped from the traffic stop in a black Mazda, then proceeded to jump out the vehicle at the 300 block of Township Road.

Clark admitted to ingesting a large amount of methamphetamine and was admitted to the SCRMC for treatment. He will face one count of Ex-Con in Possession of a Fire-Arm.

Alex Crews will face one count of Felony Fleeing and his bond is set at $5,000.
