Burroughs Court Appearance Delayed

The initial court appearance of a Jones County man accused in the death of his girlfriend has been delayed two more days because of illness.

38-year-old Greg Burroughs was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning to face manslaughter charges.

That was delayed when Circuit Court Judge, Dal Williamson became hospitalized. Burroughs will now appear in court Wednesday at 9AM.

He's accused of killing 23-year-old Katherine Sinclair on June 1. She was found half naked, sitting in her car in the garage of Burroughs's home. She had been shot once in the head. Officials say it appeared Sinclair was trying to leave the house and was shot in the heat of passion.
