USM Gifted Studies

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - USM's, Frances A. Karnes Center For Gifted Studies, wants kids to start signing up for their gifted studies program. The program provides children with the most innovative content to produce an engaging learning environment.

"We are hosting the Saturday gift stories program," Interim Director, Dr. Heather Houston said. "It beings in January and runs five consecutive Saturdays until February. So we have students coming into the course that enriched and accelerated in their content. Usually, it's for children who have been identified as intellectually, or have shown their academic prowess on an achievement test at the ninety percentile or above."

The deadline to sign up for the program is November 27.
