Sheriff Alex Hodge Speaks At JCJC's SkillsUSA
Jones County Junior College hosted the SkillsUSA South Fall Leadership Conference, Wednesday for high school and college students.
Sheriff, Alex Hodge of Jones County was the conference's keynote speaker. Hodge wants students to use today's conference as an opportunity to grow.
"Well we are here today with SkillsUSA partnering with Jones County Junior College (JCJC). Very fortunate, very excited to be the keynote speaker for this today," Sheriff Hodge said. "As a business owner and a sheriff understanding the needs for skilled work, technical work, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, all these different skills... USA promotes, supports, and graduates folks who can go out and plug into our communities and become very valuable members of business organizations... like myself."
The conference helped approximately 400 students this year.
