USM Monday Press Conference After Losing To Tennessee

USM suffered their fourth loss of the 2017 season, after losing to the Tennessee Volunteers 24 - 10. However, despite that loss head football coach, Jay Hopson still remained positive.

"I tell you, I was proud of our effort Saturday. I really was," Hopson said. "I thought we played physical. I thought for the most part, we kind of gave ourselves a chance there towards the end of the game with five minutes left. We're down on a fourth-and-one on the 38-yard line. If we could've converted there it would have been interesting... I leave this game in Tennessee with a lot of positives, I really do. Just looking forward to building on that this week, and heading back into conference play."

USM plays Rice this weekend on the road.
