USM Institute for Disability Studies Holding Canned Food Drive

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - Pantry clean-out, you can take canned goods to USM right now for the Institute for Disability Studies canned food drive called "Gifting to the Needy."

"This is something that we do every year, just to show our clients appreciation," USM's Institute for Disability Studies, case manager, Tanya Smith said. "Show them [clients] love because we want them to be happy during the holiday... cause you know we all know that some people are unfortunate."

Also, can goods are not the only thing you can donate.

"We don't only, just do food," USM's Institute for Disability Studies, case manager, Tracy Coleman said. "We assist them with household goods also. If there is anybody out there that might have extra household good that they may want to donate... you can also bring that to the University of Southern Mississippi, Bond Hall, fourth floor."

The food drive will continue until Dec. 15.
