Nine people in custody related to Hattiesburg gang shooting


HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Eight people are in custody Monday after a related gang in Bonhomie Apartments.

At 12:30pm, Hattiesburg Police Department officers responded to 1810 Country Club Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers made contact with several witnesses, who stated multiple shots were fired in an apartment complex.

Police found approximately 70 shell casings during the scene investigation. Three male victims sustained gunshot wounds as a result of an altercation. Currently, two people are being treated at Forrest General Hospital. One person was treated and released from the scene.

Monday night, HPD arrested eight people who now has pending charges related to the incident. The next day another an arrest of a 16-year-old minor was made. This is an active ongoing investigation that may yield additional arrest and charges. The nine felons are charged with one to four felons:

41-year-old Willie Wilson is charged with criminal street gang activity and conspiracy to commit a felony. Her bond is $200,000.

18-year-old D’Andre Humbles is charged with criminal street gang activity, conspiracy to commit a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling and aggravated assault. His bond is $400,000.

26-year-old Deidre Burns is charged with accessory. Her is $100,000.

18-year-old D’Vonte Humbles is charged with criminal street gang activity, conspiracy to commit a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling and aggravated assault. His bond is $400,000.

16-year-old Armonte Canamore is charged as an adult with criminal street gang activity, conspiracy to commit a felony, shooting into a dwelling and aggravated assault. His bond is $320,000.

21-year-old Daija Tate is charged with criminal street gang activity and conspiracy to commit a felony. Her bond is $200,000.

22-year-old Meredith Austin is charged with criminal street gang activity, conspiracy to commit a felony and two counts of aggravated assault. Austin was also grazed by a bullet during the shooting and treated on scene. His is $400,000.

22-year-old Rashad Marshall is charged with criminal street gang activity, conspiracy to commit a felony and two counts of aggravated assault. His bond is $400,000.

18-year-old Phillip Little is charged with criminal street gang activity, conspiracy to commit a felony, shooting into an occupied dwelling and aggravated assault. His bond is $400,000.
