Counterfeit Payroll Checks in Laurel

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - The Laurel Police Department wants businesses that engage cashing payroll checks to proceed with extra caution. The LPD received several complaints in reference to counterfeit payroll checks being cashed at local businesses. Recently, LPD arrested Anthony Bonner and charged him with two counts of Uttering a Counterfeit Instrument. Bonner's bond is set at $10,000. Other people of interest include Darrell Lampley, Jaylon McGilberry, and Willie Campbell JR.
