Ellisville's New Magazine: A Touch of Ellisville

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - The City of Ellisville is ready to launch its new magazine. The magazine titled “A Touch of Ellisville” highlights city officials, businesses, and the history of Ellisville. A few residents say the magazine could bring potential revenue to the city. “We wanted to give Ellisville the time to highlight the beautiful business owners that are here. There is so much happening in our town and in our city that we want to show people, so they can know what's going on,” KD-PR’s public relations specialist, Katherine Parker said. “We got new businesses coming up, and we got new things happening here.” Another resident of Ellisville, Abbie Corley said, she likes that the magazine shows the life of the average resident in the city. “I think it's cool because it hits a lot of high points, and it's very local, and it's got information about day-to-day people and what they do,” Corley said. “And each business has something to do with it, and it kind of gives advertisement to each business, but also it gives you an idea of what's here and what we have.” The launch party for the magazine happens Monday at 7pm–9pm. The party will take place at The Carpenter Brothers Emporium in downtown Ellisville.
