State offices opening late Wednesday morning

JACKSON – Gov. Phil Bryant has ordered agency heads to delay opening state offices on Wednesday, Jan. 17, until 10 a.m. Agency heads will also have discretion whether to require non-emergency personnel to report to work.

Winter weather that continued into Tuesday afternoon had made travel unsafe on some roads and bridges.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation will have real-time travel conditions .The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency will have real-time weather information.
