Breakthrough Ministries Surprises the Forrest County Board of Supervisors

HATTIESBURG, MISS. - A group from a local church led by Pastor, Arthur Siggers here in Hattiesburg surprised the Forrest County Board of Supervisors with a kind “thank you” gesture by giving them a Certificate of Appreciation. This comes after the board previously approved the group for a grant, which helps them rebuild the homes of the Jan. 2017 EF-3 tornado victims. “Yeah, that was nice Reverend, Arthur Siggers came and he’s with breakthrough ministries which is a non-profit organization that is handling a MEMA (Mississippi Emergency Management Agency) grant for the Board of Supervisors. After the tornados, MEMA approached us about some money that was being made available, and so, the board put out for bids and Breakthrough Ministries was awarded the administration of the grant money,” Forrest County Board of Supervisors President, David Hogan said. “They’ve done us a great job. MEMA has bragged on Breakthrough Ministries about the excellent job they’ve done." The grant was originally set for $250,000. However, the grant is in consideration to be expanded because of the work they are doing in the community.
