Pine Belt joins rest of U.S. in National Day of Prayer

May 3, 7:30 a.m.: Southeastern Baptist College and Bethlehem Baptist Church will hold their prayer breakfast at 7:30 at the college, located at 4229 Highway 15 North in Laurel. Call 601-498-8832 to make reservations for the breakfast.

May 3, noon: Jones County's National Day of Prayer Ceremony will be held at the Laurel Courthouse's west entrance. The event will feature prayers by several Jones County pastors, Christian music and a time of reflection. Call 601-428-4462 or 601-498-8830 for more details.

May 3, 6 p.m.: Petal's National Day of Prayer Ceremony will be held at Hinton Park, which is located near the civic center, police department and city hall.
