HPD investigating armed robbery

(The following is a press release from the Hattiesburg Police Department.)

Hattiesburg Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 2611 West 7th Street around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 13.

Officers responded to the report of an armed robbery, where a black male wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans with a flannel mask entered the Hop-In Texaco displayed a weapon and demanded money.

The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
