Merit Health Wesley Actively Searching for a New CEO

HATTIESBURG, MISS – Merit Health Wesley announced a major change Friday morning, as CEO Mike Neuendorf made his decision to accept a new position in Birmingham, Ala.

The move allows Neuendorf to move closer to family, and his last day with Merit Health Wesley will be at the end of August. Currently, Merit Health Wesley is actively searching for their next CEO.

Merit Health Wesley released the following statement below.

“Mike Neuendorf, CEO of Merit Health Wesley, has announced his decision to accept a new position in Birmingham, AL that offers career growth and the opportunity to move closer to family. Mike will continue his work at Merit Health Wesley through the end of August.

Mike joined the hospital as CEO in 2010. Under his leadership, the hospital has steadily grown the number of services available to residents in the Pine Belt, achieved numerous accreditations and certifications for the quality of care provided and improved satisfaction scores among patients, physicians and employees.

Members of the hospitals’ board, physicians and administration will soon begin the search to identify the next CEO to lead Merit Health Wesley.”
