NWS issues update on Gordon

The latest advisory shows a southwestern shift in the track of Gordon -- with the storm becoming a Category 1 hurricane sustained winds of 75 mph with gusts to 90 mph by 7 p.m. tonight.

The National Weather Service, which will issue an inland tropical storm warning tonight, says the threat of rainfall and flooding in the Pine Belt is moderate -- with an additional low threat of winds and tornadoes.

A flash flood watch will be in effect until Thursday morning for much of FOX23's viewing area.
