Forecast: Rainy remainder of weekend


Tropical Storm Barry is weakening to 50 m.p.h. winds after making landfall in Louisiana Saturday as a Category 1 hurricane.

Location as of 10 p.m. Saturday: 31.0N 93.0W; about 35 miles southwest of Alexandria, Louisiana.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the Pine Belt area through Monday at 7 a.m. The forecast for the rest of the weekend calls for a near 100% chance for thunderstorms. Eight inches of rain and wind gusts of up to 40 m.p.h. are possible.
