MSDH: Ten more patients die after contracting COVID-19

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 255 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi with ten more deaths. The state's total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 12,222 with 580 deaths, the MSDH added.
Health officials said 22 of the newest cases were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 98 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities, where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff.
