Bulls, Bands and Barrels cancels 2020 event in Forrest Co.

Due to the increase of positive COVID-19 cases plus the Forrest County Board of Supervisors' decision to close the Forrest County Multipurpose Center this month, officials with Bulls, Bands and Barrels have canceled this year's event -- scheduled for August 22.

“We did not enter into this decision lightly,” Bulls, Bands and Barrels President Hunter Price said in a statement to FOX23. “However, we must put the safety of our fans first. Also, given the unforeseen future of this pandemic and the resulting attendance guidelines set by Governor Reeves limiting attendance to 25% of venue capacity, we wouldn’t be able to deliver the high quality event experience and value ticket purchasers have come to expect from us through these past 7 years.”

Officials say fans who already purchased tickets will receive an automatic refund from Bulls, Bands and Barrels' ticket partner, BigTickets.com. Refunds will be issued less applicable fees. Customers are asked to allow 30 business days for the funds to post to their accounts.

“We are diligently planning the 2021 Bulls, Bands, and Barrels tour,” Price added in the statement. “We hope to bring BBB back to all the fans and supporters who didn’t get to party with us in 2020! We WILL be back, MISSISSIPPI!! In the meantime, stay safe!”

In the interest of full disclosure, FOX23 has partnered with Bulls, Bands and Barrels on ticket contests and related promotions. The station looks forward to Bulls, Bands and Barrels' next visit to the Pine Belt.
