Dixie EPA restores power to members, working to help Southern Pine EPA

(The following is a press release from Dixie Electric Power Association.)

Dixie Electric’s power restoration efforts are now complete, after 2,772 members lost power from strong winds and heavy rain due to Hurricane Ida this morning.

We would like to thank our right-of-way crew, B-Line, for aiding us in clearing debris. They play a vital role in power restoration.

If additional power outages occur, we are ready to respond.

Dixie Electric will send aid to our sister cooperative, Southern Pine Electric, tomorrow morning.

Dixie Electric Power Association serves 40,180 accounts in a seven-county area in south Mississippi, including Jones, Wayne, Perry, Forrest, Covington, Clarke and Jasper counties.
