Doctor: Stay safe during heat wave

With temperatures nearing 100 degrees, the City of Hattiesburg opens three cooling stations. For the rest of this business week, the following stations will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

\ C.E. Roy Community Center, located at 300 East 5th Street

\ The Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center, located at 220 West Front Street

\ The Sigler Center, located at 315 Conti Street

City officials add they would provide notice if conditions require the cooling stations to extend hours of operation beyond this Friday, June 24.
