Emerge Events: Women's Expo postponed

Emerge Events has confirmed to FOX23 the 2021 Pine Belt Women's Expo has been postponed due to growing concerns of COVID-19 and the Delta strain.

"With the Expo being a high touch, high capacity indoor event that requires people to be in close proximity to each other, we feel that it is more important to keep our exhibitors and attendees safe by postponing," Emerge Events said in a statement to FOX23.

The expo was originally scheduled for August 14 at Hattiesburg's Lake Terrace Convention Center.
