This year’s program will include patriotic music, a gun salute by the Jones County Rosin Heels, and special recognition of veterans and Gold Star families. The NEJ Beta Club will also be handing out “goodie bags” to all veterans in attendance at this year’s program.
This year’s keynote address will be provided by Brigadier General John Brewer (USA, Retired), a Laurel native. General Brewer served over 31 years in the U.S. Army and Mississippi National Guard. He is a decorated combat veteran with tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. His last assignment was as the Chief-of-Staff for the Air & Missile Defense Cross-Functional Team, Army Futures Command at Fort Sill, OK, where he led Air & Missile Defense modernization efforts for the U.S. Army.
Light refreshments will be served following the program and the museum will be open to the public for touring.
