LLT brings Welty story to life

Performances of Laurel Little Theatre's production of “Why I Live at the P.O.” start next weekend.

“Mississippi author Eudora Welty wrote this short story in 1941 and it became one of her most popular pieces,” LLT said.

The one-woman show told by Sister, the postmistress who works in China Grove. Sister tells the story of her Southern family -- Papa-Daddy, Stella-Rondo, and Uncle Rondo -- and explains all her trials and tribulations.

LLT's reservation line is now open and answers 24 hours a day at 601-428-0140.
