PRVEPA working to restore power

Columbia, MS- This is what we can confirm at this time:

As of 8 a.m this morning, Pearl River Valley Electric has approximately 10,000 members without power.

We have PRVEPA crews along with crews from MDR and Looks Great Services working to restore power. We are unable to provide more details at this time because members of our team are continuing to assess the situation.

Our primary goals are to ensure the safety of our members and employees and the restoration of services and to provide the most accurate information we can as quickly as possible.

We ask members of the media to stay in touch with us to confirm all facts so the public is assured of accurate information.

We ask our members who have suffered an interruption in service to call 855-2PRVEPA, our automated phone service, to report an outage.
