State Sen. McDaniel celebrations Christmas with turkey giveaway

State Senator Chris McDaniel and his staff are preparing for the 17th annual Merry Christmas Turkey Giveaway.

"Rules are still the same and very simple, say 'Merry Christmas' and get a turkey, while supplies last," an organizer tells FOX23. "You must be in a car and are limited to one turkey per car."

McDaniel buys the turkeys himself, the organizer said. Volunteers are welcome to come help with traffic and give out turkeys. The organizer added people should start lining up early. Volunteers will be there as early as needed to help with the traffic line.

The giveaway begins at 11 a.m. this Saturday at West Ellisville Baptist Church -- and continues while supplies last.
