Salvation Army season of giving
HATTIESBURG, MS - The Salvation Army is asking the community for your help this season.
The 'Red Kettles' will begin popping up around the community. They are asking for donations to help reach their goal of $300,000 dollars this year.
If everyone in Lamar, Forrest, and Perry county donated $4.00 each this entire season, their goal will be met.
LT. Stacey Connelly says, "This community and the Pinebelt is one of the most generous in the nation, that is why we set our goal for kettles for $300,000 dollars because we know the people in the community can make that happen, they are very giving, it is the hospitality state."
The money will go towards food, donations, and shelter for those who need it most.
