Lamar School District Fires One of their Bus Drivers
Lamar County, Miss. - Two students who attend Oak Grove Upper Elementary School were not intially dropped off at school.
School officials were alerted and responded immediately to the situation.
Lamar School District superintendent, Tess Smith said, "It started late yesterday afternoon that we had a situation involving two students with a bus driver. Evidentially the driver was running late for a second route. On the way of her second route, she dropped two students off with a relative of hers and asked them to take them to school. And thankfully the relative did that. But we have other procedures in place if drivers are running late. Even if students are missed on a route, we have procedures in place for nearly everything. I mean we have to."
The school district wants to make sure that this problem never occurs again.
