Stevens wins his 2nd MACJC Player of the Week award
Ellisville, Miss. - You may remember last month that JCJC freshman phenom, Bruce Stevens, won MACJC Player of the Week.
And well this week, he won it again.
Stevens said "I just got to keep doing what I'm doing every day at practice, working hard. Coach Lockhart staying on me and coach Fitzgerald staying on me every day. Bruce you got to keep doing this. You got to keep doing that. You got to keep pushing."
The combination of great coaching and a great player like Stevens, enables him to average a double-double per game, like he does with his 18 points and ten rebounds day-in and day-out performances.
Stevens said "I don't believe no one can stop me because I'm so dominating in the post and I can step out hit you with a couple jumpers and just right now, I don't believe nobody can stop me."
Thursday night, JCJC host Mississippi Gulf Coast and the Bobcats are looking for revenge.
Stevens said "the last time we lost to them by one in double overtime and just every day we come in here and go to work so we can be prepared for when they come here tomorrow."
