A William Carey professor hits the big screen

Hattiesburg, Miss. - A William Carey University professor made an appearance on a Christian film.

Theatre professor, Keone Fuqua, played a role in the movie “Yellow Day.”

Fuqua said “the process of getting it made took several years as it turned out because it grew. I think we actually shot the movie around 2012. Mainly "Yellow Day" is a family faith-based film that encourages grace and faith and love and mainly overcoming struggles in life, being a champion over those struggles."

Fuqua appeared in several other films including "The Perfect Weapon," "Night Claws," and "The Dragon Warrior."

“Yellow Day” made its debut on the big screen Friday at the Grand Theatre on Grand Drive in Hattiesburg.
